This privacy policy aims to give you information on how Seik Psychiatry collects and processes your personal data through your use of this website and/or our platform (https://www.seikpsychiatry.com/), including any data you may provide through the Site when you purchase a service.
This website and our Platform is not intended for unsupervised use by children under 16 years old and any data we collect relating to children will be data provided on their behalf by their parent or guardian, or in the presence of, and with, the consent of their parent or guardian.

If you Fail to Provide Personal Data: Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with services). In this case, we may have to cancel the services you have ordered but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.

From your parents or guardians (if you are under the age of 18) who provide us with information about you and from other healthcare professionals and officers in the local authority/ social services department.
To provide you with services we need to share your personal information with our clinicians who work with us as self-employed consultants and who will treat your personal data in accordance with this privacy policy.
We also need to share information with partner organisations that help with our administration services. We have vetted these organisations to ensure that they will deal with your personal information responsibly and will not use your personal information for their own purposes. For example: IT suppliers, including suppliers of data storage services, contractors who provide our telephone services and suppliers of web hosting services.
We may need to share information with regulators such as the General Medical Council, NHS, the Information Commissioner’s Office and the Health Service Ombudsman.
if you are under 18 years old, we need to share information with your parent or guardian;
we may need to receive and share information with doctors, other clinicians and health-care professionals, hospitals, clinics and other health-care providers;
With your consent, information can be shared with relatives, partners or friends who act as a carer for you. Third parties to whom we may choose to sell, transfer or merge parts of our business or our assets. Alternatively, we may seek to acquire other businesses or merge with them. We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

We do not generally transfer your personal data outside the UK. Nevertheless our payment processor, currently “Stripe”, is a global entity and when you make payment through them you will be sharing your financial details directly with them and such data may be transferred outside the UK and the EU. If transfers out of the UK occur: We shall update our privacy policy accordingly.

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

How Long Will You Use My Data For?

We are committed to ensuring that our suppliers have appropriate technical, administrative and physical procedures in place to ensure that your information is protected against loss or misuse. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers or on secure servers operated by a third party.

In some circumstances we will anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

No Fee Usually Required

What We May Need From You
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. Time Limit To Respond
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it could take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

Necessary to provide you with healthcare: Healthcare information is considered Special Category Data and as our services are the provision of healthcare services, we have a lawful basis to process such data.

Your Legal Rights
You have the right to:
Request access to your personal data (commonly known as a "data subject access request"). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.
Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you corrected, though we may need to verify the accuracy of the new data you provide to us.
Request erasure of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal data where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal data where you have successfully exercised your right to object to processing (see below), where we may have processed your information unlawfully or where we are required to erase your personal data to comply with local law.
