Adult Autism Pathway
Part 1*: < 90 mins with a psychologist + report
Part 2: < 60 mins with a psychiatrist + letter stating any diagnosis and recommended support
*Please have someone that you have known for a long time with you at the assessment. Ideally this would be your parent/ guardian. If this isn't possible, please let us know and we can discuss alternative options.
In cases where there is a particularly complex background, and / or the psychiatrist thinks there may be an alternative, or comorbid diagnosis, they may recommend further assessment before being able to conclude a diagnosis or recommend support safely. This further assessment is charged for at as low rate as possible.

Medical Support:
Medical Support is the titration and ongoing monitoring of prescribed medications. Titration is the process used to find the right dosage of medication. It can take a few months to reach the right dosage, depending on your individual response to the medication.
Once your dose is stable, you can have repeat prescriptions, and / or discuss with your GP whether they can help take over or share your medical support.
You may be asked to provide some physical measurements such as blood pressure, pulse, height and weight before medication can be prescribed. Often, these measurements are needed every month. On some occasions, other tests may be required such as blood tests or an ECG.
Fees:
Nurse: £100.00
Psychiatrist: £160.00
Repeat Prescription: £25.00* Medication: S E I K Psychiatry does not dispense medication. Medication costs need to be checked with the pharmacy.
We recommend budgeting for one appointment per month, for the first few months of medical support. This can vary depending on your individual response to the medication.
Once your dose is stable, you may be able to have up to 3 repeat prescriptions before needing another review. Alternatively, if your GP has agreed to take over or share care, you will be able to get your prescriptions via the NHS. Depending on the GP’s regulations, you may still need a review every 6-12 months with a private practitioner.
*Repeat prescriptions need to be approved by prescribers. This is usually once a stable dose has been reached.
